We're home!

Well we are in Louisiana right now. Lance had a death in the family so we made our way to LA for 2 weeks. We were able to get on the free shuttle with Lance's company and the first flight back to home home isn't until 2 weeks from the day we arrived in LA. So, here we are.

So far everything has been going well. We had the funeral on Wednesday and Thursday and today we are just chilling with my parents until they go to bowling. We are staying with Lance's parents until Monday night and then staying with parents the remainder of the time. Since we will be here for two weeks it looks like they will have plenty of time to get to know Ian a little better. Right now Claire, our niece, is staying with Lance's parents so the kids are also getting well acquainted. That is so much fun to see. They play so well together and ask for each other when they aren't in the same room. This morning Ian woke up and went looking for her. He also played very well with my cousin Aiden and seems to be coming out of his shell a little more. It's nice that he remembers almost everyone.

In other news, I am almost done Christmas shopping. I am so excited about that. I only have a few more people to buy for and they should be fairly easy, or I hope. My family is coming up for Christmas, so it should be a fun holiday. We got Ian Spike the Dinosaur and baby Spike, and some other things. I finally ordered him the other day and he came in yesterday. Thankfully my friend Ashley went and got him off our front porch today so he should be safe and sound. I can't wait to see Ian's face when he gets him. He knows that Spike is coming for Christmas but doesn't know when that is.

Well, I guess I had better get going. I hope all is well with everyone.
