I'm so excited!

And I just can't hide it! I know, cheesy, right? Anyway, lots of new things have been going on here this past week and a half or so. First things first, even though Ian is not two just yet, it seems as though he may be advanced in his development. He has reached the terrible two's even before his second birthday! That's my boy! The overachiever.

Seriously though, we have had some "issues" lately that need to be worked out. When he doesn't get his way he cries. When he doesn't get what he wants even though he isn't supposed to have it, he cries. When I won't let him play with the butcher knife that he just took out of the dishwasher, he cries. When I take him off the stove where a pot of boiling water sits, he cries. Get the picture??? He is so testing his limits. I just wish the limits didn't involve things that could hurt him. I try and stay one step ahead of him at all times.

Even though we have had our issues, that kid is a comic relief. The other night is was sitting in his high chair eating. As always, we have dinner as a family. It may be in front of the TV, but it is as a family. Our rule is that he stays put until we have all finished. Usually he is ok with that. For some reason the other night he was not and said "take" (take me out) and reached for me. When I told him "no" and then followed up with the rule, he said it again. After saying it a few times he gave up, got this thoughtful look on his face and said "hug" with a puppy dog look on his face. Now, it doesn't matter how mad that kid is making me. When he says "hug" or "kiss" I suddenly get in a better mood and I swear he knows this. So yes, he puled what I consider a dirty trick and said "hug" and then of course got out of the chair! Go mom! Yeah, right.

In other news, I got certified in Zumba on Saturday. It was the most fun I have ever had working out. We were on our feet from 0730 until 1800. I learned so much and can't wait to start teaching. I won't have long to wait since I will get my first chance tonight. I am super nervous since I haven't done it in a while and since it involves a lot of hip shaking.

In case I never mentioned it, we are almost done with the house. We ordered the carpet and tile last week and they finished the tile today. The carpet comes on Monday and then finishes on Tuesday. The tile looks great. I hope the carpet goes as well. When all is done I will post the final pictures.

And finally, my jaw hurts. At first I thought maybe I was getting strep or something because it hurt sort of where you would feel a node. I had Lance feel and my nodes were not enlarged and nothing feels abnormal. My throat looks clear, so I no longer think strep. I think I need to go to the dentist and get my tooth checked. I have noticed that when I eat sweets on that side I have a tooth that doesn't feel quite right. It doesn't hurt, it just feels sort of tender. Anyway, Lance says that I am a Melman in human form. In case you have never seen Madagascar you won't get that reference.

Anyway, time to get going. I have a lot of practicing to get done before class. See you real soon!
